I have simulated a 3D EM model in CST (HFSS). Then in the Design studio, I have developed a tuning circuit which is fed to EM model. CST then calculates the fields in EM model according to this excitation from the design studio. A similar operation can be done with HFSS and Nexxim (by using dynamically linked model and push excitation). My question is how CST/HFSS scales the EM fields according to the circuit? I know it must be some linear combination of voltages, currents and Z parameters of EM model with the Fields calculated by EM model, but what is the exact relation? How can I verify (preferably by hand calculation for at least one value), if the simulated results are correct?
