Should one handle electronic component with precaution due to the possibility of its leads being coated with Pb? Can eating, drinking or smoking after electronic component leads cause significant exposure to lead?

Hello,

don't worry to work with electronic components.

Significant exposure can only occur, if you eat pure lead or inhale lead dust. Human skin cannot absorb lead. In the air, lead will be change tio lead carbonate, which is not poisonous.
