I understand the difference between X and Y caps, but I do not have any info on how to choose the class.. I mean there are X1, X2, X3 caps.. when X1 is required? when X2? Thanks!

Peak pulse voltage capacity for X1 is less than 4KV, X2 is lessthan 2.5KV and X1 is lessthan 1.2KV
