Safety Capacitors

Hi,

Is there someone expert in safety capacitor?

I understand the difference between X and Y caps, but I do not have any info on how to choose the class..

I mean there are X1, X2, X3 caps.. when X1 is required? when X2?

Thanks!

X capacitor we can divide in three classes according to the peak pulse voltage and rated voltage of operation . Peak pulse voltage capacity for X1 is less than 4KV, X2 is lessthan 2.5KV and X1 is lessthan 1.2KV
