convert .db to .lib

hi all,
i am a beginner to ASIC. I came to know that the libraries used for synopsys are in db format. but when i tried to view them i could not make out anything! may be it was encrypted. but *.lib files are simple ascii files. so by any chance can i get back *.lib from *.db? if so please guide me how to do that......
thanks...

.db to .lib

Maybe it is impossible.
You can transfer .lib to .db, but up to now no any information give a way to do it inverse.

translate synopsys .db to .lib

You can use the library complier to generate the .db

complier .lib transfer .db

DB format is a Sy***sys internal BINARY format, you can not view it.
you can translate LIB to DB by library_compiler.
Maybe there is a reverse_library_compiler in Syn**sys, but as I know,
you can not get such a tool out of the Syn**sys
