s-video to scart(laptop to tv)

hi,hope someone can help in here.i want to watch movies from my laptop on my tv so i bought a lead with s-video and a headphone jack at one end and a scart at the other,i plugged it in and booted up,the loading screen comes on the tv then after xp has shown the screen with the green bar moving from left to right saying loading the tv screen goes blue and i can`t get a picture,how come i get a picture to start with then as it changes to desktop i lose it??
Also its in black and white.

this problem occurs due to video card in ur laptop. i think ur video card is ATI radeon. change ur display property like multiple monitor on display property . i can see display movie throu s-video from my laptop. but u must change display property.

i dont think you have a problem.
just enter the video card properties look for duplicating views - on screen and TV
and your problems will disappear ...

i.e. right click on desktop, properties, display, advanced
