rxd txd connections from atmega 32 to gsm modem tr-800 ...plzzz

can anyone plzz suggest how to connect the rxd and txd pins of DB9 connector at microcontroller side to rxd and txd pins at gsm modem side..plzzzz
 

tried the same connection but this did not work....
is there anythin else to be done after makin these connections...??
 

Hai,

First test your modem with pc using hyper terminal( using AT commands).
 

v hv chkd GSM modem on hyper terminal too......also v r gettin response from microcontroller in hyperterminal....

What about your program side? Check your board and pc communication.
 

connection between board and pc is also perfect...v r getting response of micrcontroller on hyprtrminal
