Running Shell from Sofwares ( ADS, AWR, HFSS, CST)

Hi everybody, i would like to get some informations about those softwares.

First thing to know, i'm not a electronics engineer , im just a computer science engineer.

I want to know if they can be controled from other programs like Matlab, C++ or Java , scripts programs...

I'm supposed to try to run automatic models from those softwares, and my teacher want to know if first, it is possible.

Does anybody already know that ? Or can help me find out ?
