So just read a small story for getting my problem.
I have to put minimal RTOS so i choose Chibios. Now i had Blue board which had LPC2148. But ChibiOs support wasn't for blue board but was for Olimex board which has same LPC2148. I had work with Uart and Led and the they were mapped to same pins of controller. So i asked my sir that it should not be the problem cos the hardware for what i need to work with is same. He said it wont work. I asked why it wont work , he said it wont work. :x

Anyway i tried and didn't work. :sad: I saw strange results i was trying to led blink but co incidentally there was Led on Usb started blinking as per delay. I couldn't get how that was possible.

Please anyone help.

Also a second doubt i have;
u have same controller .......same hex file....but different burner/flasher. will there be any difference on how the hex is mapped into the controller memory .

Hi,

I can't provide a quick, solved answer, sorry. I think, unless other members are familiar with the devices you are using, one method of understanding the reasons is to - a "boring", time-consuming task but good for learning at least - is to read the LPC2148 datasheet/manual, etc and compare it to the "blue board" and "olimex", it means doing a bit of detective work and comparing and contrasting...
I read a Broadcom chip datasheet/manual to compare it to a device I have and the pins I can use on it, and it was very enlightening indeed to see how the device manufacturer uses some of the Broadcom features, and brings out other spare/left-over ones for users like myself to play with, but some features are shared/crossed-over and you/I would have to disable something else to use them. I'm guessing that's one possible reason why the wrong LED was blinking.
