but seeing the datasheet how can we calculate the board reset time and what is its significance in finding out the value of capacitance.please elaborate??

If the power goes off on your board and you need N79E844AWG to get reset after some milliseconds, then you will have to allow the capacitor to discharge slowly. so you may need a capacitor(C) of higher capacitance. This timing is always related with Controller(uC) reset time, the resistor(R) Value. for further clarifications, please see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RC_circuit
