Hi, there,

Why the Rset value is some data converter chip is in an order of several hundreds ohm? For instance the Rset in ADV7123 is around 560 ohm.

and What is the pros and cons ?

Thanks in advance.

nathan

What's the function of the Rset ? The external reference resistor for constant current source ? If my thinking is right, then the Rset value will define the power of ADC and the reference current or voltage of the whole ADC.

Yibin.

I think this resistor is used to gernerate accurate current for citcuits(ex. current dac) in the chip.
