RS232 Spartan 3E testing

Hello,

I am trying to get the RS232 (connection between laptop and Spartan 3E) work.
I found these github links which I am trying to make them work and see something on the Serial. I use Termite here.

Can someone tell me how I make it see some characters sent to/from my laptop (even encrypted/decrypted)??

Hi,

You just need the correct setup on both sides....then most terminal software can show the HEX values.

Nothing special.

Assuming your design is functioning properly, a common problem is baud rate matching.
Make sure the rate at VHDL UART and your PC console application is the same.
