Dear all,
Dear all, I have worked on pic18f4520 and have implemented usart and all basic peripherals. I am planning to work on rs485 implementation. I know the hardware detail with max 487 and implemented hardware.. please guide me how to start the programming part... Thank You Amardeep Singh

Create a simple UART interface in PIC18F first and then follow by the control of the data enable line.

RE: I have done with the hardware part using PIC18f4520 and max487 transcievers...Please guide me for the programming code in ASCII mode using C language...It could be either for the master or slave end device...

You can use codes written for RS232 or UART.
Before sending data, use need to enable MAX487 transceiver.
