What is the role of c++ in vlsi is there any defined flow for hardware extraction and verification...? and what will be future with respect to it..

There are some evolving languages based on SystemC .. or let's say some are added libraries to C/C++ .. like SystemC .. SystemC for example is a language used to generate executable specs that are to be automatically translated to HDL .. and therefor can be synthesized .. also Handle-C is synthesizable .. but we can't say that C/C++ based languages are fully integrated in the VLSI design flow .. but future may bring more suits :)
