Toy I made for my son and to watch and record my cats. Black cat has a bad luck – sensor can’t see him well so robot once hit the cat. White cat has nice life – it is impossible to hit him, even if you want, sensors want let for that.
Robo can be controlled in 3 ways – IR pilot (RC5-philips) or audio 433MHz (just switching right jumper) reference by Telecontrolli and can be set on power down mode, or in parallel by Bluetooth. BTM-222 module has long range and robot can control also turn on/off module power to safe energy.
Robot consist wireless color camera 2,4GHz. Camera can rotate in horizontal for 180st. Camera also consist feeler – a pack of white LED diodes.
Robot consist also 3 range sensors that works in IRDA as well. There is also a buzzer that indicate some operations.
At front on camera, is a blue swimming LED – just for fun. 8 diodes are controlled by moving register 74HC595.
Lorry is made of laminate with PCB boards and supports. There are two servomechanisms so DC engines consist right power.
Engines are controlled by L293D. engines are smoothly controlled so you can change speed.
Processor check voltages all the time and indicate : green, orange and blue diodes. When battery charge level is critical, processor turn off all functions.
Power is based on LM2940-5,0 converter. Camera consist own accumulator.
When we stop control, robot switch to auto drive mode. He can find way out from trap, as you can see at the movies at https://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic1584103.html where is more information.
