Hi,

How to calculate required trace width for single pulse of 45A for 180us duration.
In my PCB I have 115mil trace on outer layer with 2oz copper and now we want to check that this trace can withstand for 45Amp current 180 micro second.
or how much time it can withstand for 45A.

Regards,
Atul

You'll calculate dissipated energy E=R∫I²dt, heat capacity of the trace and temperature rise.

use Saturn PCB Design toolkit in Fusing current part
