hi

i need the notes which contains the basics of ADCs & DACs , their types, operations.

could anyone provide me

I suggestion you read a book this topic. It is difficult to get much only from notes. ONLY my opion.

Have you tried looking through the Maxim site as it has description of differnet ADC and DAC types.

You can start with the attached pdf file. adc1.pdf.

Its has a brief overview of all the different types of ADC converters.

after that, i would try some of the links in the reference of that article:

www.analog.com/library/analogDialogue/archives/33-08/adc

FLASH adc :

Pipelined ADC:

There are some more in the refence in the first pdf i uploaded.

Good luck! :)

it seems to me that what you want is a simple explanation of the two devices.ADC means analog to digital converter meaning you take a dc input and convert it to be an equivalent digital output. DAC is exactly the oposite that is it.
