Hi All,

I want to add some patterns on the PCBs (now FR4) to test the over or under etching of the RF PCBs. The frequency of interest will be up to 6GHz. Can someone suggest us some patterns on it, 50ohm line is too thick for detecting the difference?! More suggestion on the easy way to add testing pin without too many soldering points. Any suggestion !

Re: Req: Microstrip Line for checkpoint for Hi-Frequency Boa

You can use magnifiers to measure line width. Here is the type https://scientificsonline.com/product.asp?pn=3030057 It accepts reticles with angle and linear measurement lines.

If you had a pattern with equal width line and spaces, the changes in etching will be more obvious.

Actually, what I looking for some copper pattern likes "straight Line" or "snake" shape. And which type is easy control for it!
