I know that the current trend for Echo Cancellation is the use of DSPs.
Does any one know or can point me to alternate method where echo cancellation is done using a microprocessor?

Thanks

Hi junglejenny,
You do not have to use DSP chip to do
Echo Cancellation. But you are taking advantage of using DSP's powerful instructions like LMS or convolution... so that you meet the time requirement.

Thanks, Two things put me off DSP's before I start, power consumption and second, the price!
