It is a transformation of an old bog boat electronically-controlled model. Upper and lower plating was made of thick cardboard and painted with nitro lacquer. The boat was improved with the following changes.
Only the upper plating, rudders and a tower for the engines were changed. The photos show the construction of the hull and the rest of the elements. The new board is a white cardboard box, which, together with pine slats fits perfectly. The bottom of the boat was stuck with a white piece of paper. The rudders were made of toy pieces. Inside them there is a bicycle spoke glued in a way that at the lower end there was a thread. In the hull there are the spoke nuts, in which the rudders are screwed. With this mount it is possible to dismantle them. The tower is built of ice-cream sticks and strips from fireworks. In one of the pictures you can see cleverly glued bamboo stick, which perfectly reinforces the whole device and allows the tower seating into the holes in the hull. The whole besides the rudders was painted with clear lacquer resistant to water on base of resin, which is quite flexible, so it should not break. The varnish was overlapped four times, each layer dries for at least 24h. Last, the fifth layer is a stain, also on the resin, which should ideally protect the whole against the water.
Two identical engines were taken from toys, connected in series. When powered 2xLi-ion battery (when fully charged approximately 8,2V), they take 1,5A. This is not a great power, but enough to slow swimming. Propellers were taken from a toy RC airplane. Due to their small size, two pieces were set on the engine. The controller was made of a servo and regulator for the cordless screwdriver. Also a electronic one could be made on a microprocessor. Servos in the controller and for moving the rudders are the standard types – Tower Pro SG-5010. Apparatus (receiver and transmitter) is a Sanwa Simprop 27MHz.

Remote controlled bog boat is a new concept for me.Also, the description above points out that lot of creativity is involved in making this product. It takes lot of understanding of
technicalities involved. Also, I liked the fact that propellers are used from RC plane.
