Hello everyone.
Could someone please look at this very basic circuit board and tell me where the sound files are kept?
Its a 4 button remote (R06A) board
which goes into a HS153SP-J chip.
I’m guessing the sound files are in this chip (could be wrong)
Second question, how to I upload my own sound files to such a chip. Thank you in advance.

Inside the S153 IC but you can't upload new files in to it. Its a custom device, you would have to contact the manufacturer with new files for them to program but beware they may have minimum order quantities in the thousands.

Brian.

Thanks Brian. Will have to try and make my own using some adafruit sound boards.

Do you want uploads over Bluetooth, Wireless, SDCARD, USB....?

Wave files or MP3 files ?, Total storage requirement of sound worst case ?

There are single chips that can handle most of that....

Regards, Dana.

Hi Dana,

I was hoping to just removed the chip from the board and some how read and just swap over audio files.

I’ve bought an Arduino sound fx board and remote control and wired up my own circuit board but the reason this isn’t an option is space. The speaker has very little room in the back casing and still need a 100w amp to power the sound which are huge in comparison to the circuit board now.
