relation between frequency and rpm

what is the relationship between the frequency of rotation and frequency of the current produced in an ac generator,

relation between rpm and frequency

mehboob_iiui,
Frequency (In Hz) = 2 X RPM/[60 X (Number of Poles)]
For example, a 2-pole generator rotating @ 3600 RPM gives 60 Hz

Sorry, I got the equation wrong. The correct equation is:
.
F = (Number of Poles)] X RPM/[120).

Kral
