torque to accelerate a load, physics

hi guys

i want to know the relation between torque and load

actually i want to find out which motor is best suited to me

the torques of motors are mentioned so how do i know what torque motor is required to carry a certain load (for e.g. for the main drive of a vehicle of abt 2kg how much torque is reqd)???

Typically:

Power = Torque * angular velocity.

moreover:

Torque = radius (cross prroduct with) Force

For a certain load, chosing torque concerns with wheel radius. Also, you must review your velocity and power consumption specifications.
 

A good staring point:

What is the friction load Ff? (Force required to barely get the vehicle moving).
Ts = (Ff X Wheel Radius)
. Ts is the torque require to just barely get the vehicle moving.

What is the required vehicle acceleration?
F = mA
Ta = mA X Wheel radius (Torque req'd to accelerate the vehicle)

.Total torque req'd Tt = Ts + Ta.

The torque available at the drive wheel is equal to the motor torque times the gear ratio from the motor to the wheel (Inverse of the speed ratio).

Motor torque varies with speed in a manner that is dependent on the motor type, so the available acceleration also varies with speed.

Maximum acceleration is obtained when the Motor J equals the equivalent reflected Load J, where J is the polar moment of inertia. J is part of the motor specification. Equivalent Load J = mR^2, where:

m is the load (vehicle) mass
r is the wheel radius
