Regulator selection for 3.3V with 1amps

Can any one say the regulator which should give 3.3V and 1Amps as output with input voltage of 12V.
 

A switching regulator would be the most efficient way with low heat dissipation, something like
LM2596-3.3
or
LM2576-3.3

LM1117 is specified up to 800mA, so it can't be used for 1A.
For a linear regulator he should probably look at LM317 using a few resistors to set the voltage to 3v3
