I am planning to design a circuit to get a regulated +/- 15 V, +/- 100 mA using a "single

IC".

Which is the preferable IC, 723,78XX,79XX, or 317 ?

Can anyone provide the circuit configuration ?

If you mean both supplies at once, none of these are very suitable
(solo). The 723 can be run as a "poor man's PWM regulator".
But you'd probably have to depend on cross-regulation and that
can be iffy.

this document shows how to use a single step down regulator and a off the shelf catalog inductor to generate a positive/negative output.
