regenerative braking - battery charging question

Reg:Battery Charging

Hi All,
I am trying to store the energy from regenerative braking to the battery. will the battery store the energy immediately? Or battey will take some time to absorb energy? ( Since in the regenerative braking, less energy only be produced before stop) Do we need any capacitor to store the energy from motor and then to battery?

The answer to your question really relies on your battery chemistry and just how much power is being generated by the regenerative braking. In general, most batteries can only be charged at 1C or so, so in that case it is likely that you'll be generating more power than you can immediately charge the battery with.
