I have a capacitor of 100uF with 0.1 Ohms of ESR.
It is in the secondary circuit of a transformer with Ns/Np = 0.837.
I wish to refer this to the primary. (ie the cap with its ESR, not just the capacitance)

How does it refer across..?

thanks, so I multiply the complex number (R - j/wC) by (Np/Ns)^2 ?

Or R and 1/C respectively.
