REFDES invisible in Altium

Why the reference designators are invisible in altium PCB? How to make visible those?

What no glow lights for radio isotopic refdes?

Go Design > Board Layers & Colors

Go to the Tab Show/Hide

In the field called Strings select the option SHOW
 

Doubleclick any footprint to open the Component Properties window. There you can find the option to hide/unhide the designator. Other properties like text,size, rotation etc. can also be changed there.
