Recommend a cheap flow rate sensor

Can anyone suggest a low cost flow sensor that can measure velocity of water? TQ.. :wink:
 

Flow Rate Sensor

i'm not sure but you could make a crude one yourself
you could make blades to rotate due to the flow and put some damping
then, no of revolutions in unit time will be proportional to the speed
