Reading SAIF and VCD files

I’m receiving some error messages whenever I attempt to read either SAIF or VCD file.
Error message was : “No switching activity has been annotated” but.. I’ve checked the SAIF file and there are switching activities.
Can anyone give me some input on how to solve this issue? Many thanks in advance.
