lmstat dump license file

I have a setting CDS_LIC_FILE 5280@hostname

I want to read the license.dat file that is associate with the port.
I use lmstat and see the path of the license file, but I don't have permission to login to the host.

Question, can I read the license file thru the port? I mean the text format of the license.dat file

Thank you.

license

mmm,I thing license manager doesn't give you the license as a text file. Why you should need it?

I have found the way to do it. Let me know it anyone is interested.

I never have that problem. I want to know either way: To read the text format of the license file or how to protect the user to copy the license file

using

lmcksum -c 5280@hostname

dumps out the text file of the license with check sum values.

remove the checksum value from the dump file and you have the orignal license file.
