RCA to TV

Hello
Is the following correct or no?
Is anything else needed?
**broken link removed**

RCA to TV

Is that a composite video signal input? What are you planning to do with it in the micro?

Keith

Re: RCA to TV

Yes it is composite video

I will produce video and image

I just need help with the resistor nothing else
Do i need it?
Should i connect it to ground or is it ok the way it is?

Thanks

RCA to TV

You should connect it to ground, it works as a termination for the input line.

Re: RCA to TV

I'd add 75Ω as a termination and two Schottky protective diodes .. see attached picture ..

RCA to TV

The video may be AC coupled in which case you will need to bias it above ground. For example 150 ohms to each supply rail.

I am not sure what you are planning to do with it, but most microcontrollers won't be capable of digitising video - the ADCs aren't fast enough. Also, it creates a lot of data.

Keith.

I think the attached image from IanP is what i need
What diodes should i use exact number please
