Hello all. Am a PCB designer and am trying to come up with my own raspberry pi shield equivalent. I have been using KICAD to do the design but am missing most of the chips that i need to make this successful. Someone help with the best idea on how to do it and the best chips that i can use to make it more efficient and faster thatn the current board in the market.

The parts you need are entirely dependent on the purpose of the shield. There is no generic answer to your question.

Kicad already has templates for the shield PCB layout but what other parts have to be fitted to it are your choice.
