Radial and azimuthal components of electric field

What is a radial and what is an azimuthal component of an electric field?
 

Thank you, that's what I was looking for.
And does anyone know why in the design of an antenna someone would choose to calculate only one and not the other. Could it be that the other is zero? Or there are cases where we are only concerned with one of them?
