If one body in a HFSS model is located entirely inside another body,
which properties does the volume of the inner body receive?

I know that people put objects inside air boxes and they are treated
like the inner object material, not like air. But I cannot find an
explicit statement about whether this is true for any two materials.

Thanks

It will take the property you assign to the inner object/body.
