Questions about "prepreg", as used in PCB structure.

A four layer PCB always uses one central FR4 core for rigidity in the centre, but uses two outer layers of "prepreg". How thick is "prepreg" likely to be.

"Prepreg" is not at all rigid, but is like soft rubber in texture, is this true?
