Hi,

I believed that the E file number was assigned by UL to PCB manufacturers only.

I noticed instead that some PCB traders have the UL E file number.

Question:
How is that possible?

Thanks,
Enrico Migliore

Hi,

I noticed instead that some PCB traders have the UL E file number.

For exporting i hade to take care about UL and E numbers.
But this is new to me. Never recognized this before.

Hi Klaus,

check this file number: E313544

it belongs to an Italian PCB provider.

I met those guys and they told me that they are trader.
They made agreements to some Chinese PCB manufacturers.

Hi Klaus,

in the past, I also found that 3 Chinese PCB "manufacturers" used an UL file which are not theirs.

Hi,

yes, i opened the E-file.
(It seems to be a valid E-file and valid E-number. There is no info about trader or manufacturer, but it is listed...)

This is new to me.

Klaus

Hi,

I assure you that the company is a PCB provider (trader).

I'll contact my UL safety engineer and I'll let you know the answer.
