I am a fresh master with specialty in digital circuit design.
Recently I am asked for an interview for the job below,

> My team is responsible for architecting and delivering a XXnm product
> with multi-chip integration capabilities. You will be part of this
> product execution team (silicon aspects). We are focused on chip and
> system integration and will get different types of building blocks
> from other teams. Typically, we will provide requirements for some of
> the building blocks. I am also responsible for forward looking
> initiatives in 3D integration (die–stacking) and I collaborate with
> universities. I am looking for someone who is a generalist and will
> be a part of the silicon development team. He/she will also work on
> application/system level topics related to multi-chip integrated
> product and identify/validate new product ideas. As you get involved
> in the project and find a specific area of interest and want to grow
> in that direction, I am totally fine with it.

Can anyone tell me what general category this job belongs to? System engineer? Design Engineer? Researcher? In the long run, how does this job compare to the IP block design, RTL design/optimization (which I am familiar with)?
