L and C in RFID system

In reader of RFID system ,we have LCR in series resonant.
Whereas in RFID tag they are in Parallel resonant .

can the value of L and C in both cases be taken as same for both tag and reader ?
If yes then why almost every system i have found has different value of L and C for tag and reader ?

thanks !

L and C in RFID system

I think the value of L and C have no relationship between reader and tag.

Re: L and C in RFID system

Hi,
I had some experience on this topic. The L and C in tag is connected together in parallel and the reader or transmitter is connected in series. . You could put the value of the capacitance and inductance any value you want as long as it follow this formula. The total of your C and L would produce the amount of frequency you are using e.g 13.56MHz or 125 kHz.

f= 1/(2π√LC)

Regards
