question about gsm

hello

i know that channel transmission rate in gsm is 270 kbps,,and signals after speech coding and channel coding is 22.8 kbps,,,as channel (carrier) has 8 time slots so,,22.8*8 is less than 200 kbps so,,what is the 270 kbps holds? as it is larger than 22.8*8 kbps

u forget that there are channel coding after the source conding( speech coding)

thanks for replying but if you read my topic well you will find that i said:"signals after speech coding and channel coding is 22.8 kbps"
