With this class A amplifier design software, for a common emitter amp, you enter voltage gain, cut off frequency, supply voltage, input impedance and output impedance.

You can enter pretty much anything as there is no vetting of the of the inputs.

What exactly is the practical voltage gain limit for a single stage class A amplifier?
 

If you really want to design then I dont suggest you to use like these software rather to do it by SPICE kind simulator and simulate it for your self

for t he class A amplifier, I think you mean to say class Apower amplifier. the page you showed is for the small signal amplifier where all of them work in Class A mode.
 

I am sure there will be a practical limit, but as the gain is nominally Rc/re where re is roughly 25mV/Ic(mA) and Rc is the collector resistor, you could theoretically have gains of over 1000 with a high voltage collector load (say 100V) provided the transistor is rated for that voltage. It doesn't necessarily make it a "practical" amplifier even it it will work.
