I have one of those small, snow blowing, musical Christmas trees. I lost the power adapter. All it says, is 12 volt no manufacturer and the plug in part is small. Does anyone know what type of current I should buy for power adapter and where? It has a small plug in part. Thanks a bunch. Any input appreciated it? Thanks!

You need to know how much power it consumes. Since the adapter is lost, I guess you should buy a 12v 2A power adapter, or something with more current capacity, just being in a safe side. You can search in ebay. There are lots of low cost power adapters available.

We are in guessing mode now.

Does it have LED bulbs or filament type bulbs in it, as this makes a big difference? When it is a relative small unit, it will not have large dissipation as otherwise temperature rise will be too high. When it has relative large mechanically moving parts, more power is required.

Can you post a link to a similar product so that we can have better understanding of what you have in front of you?

Assuming that it uses LED lighting, the mechanics consumes most of the input power. I checked the instruction manual for a 190 cm tall snowing christmas tree (from Europalms). It says 10W (230VAC). So very likely a 12V/1A adapter can do the job. Just to be safe, try to get something in the 12V/2A range (as also suggested by Genovator). If you go for 12V/1A, check it frequently for overtemperature.

AC/DC problem. Is there any sign of AC or DC? The German one has a 12VAC/1000mA output adapter. In case of doubt, open your tree and look for 4 rectifier diodes.
