Signal Type

Hi:

Is the signal generated from the DAC stage of a RF Transmitter comes into the first mixing stage in a In-phase (sine) and Quadrature- phase (cosine) mode or only a In-phase (sine) mode. Please do clarify. Thanks in advance.

Re: Signal Type

Hi,
Signal just comes. You resolve it into inphase and quadrature components based on your local oscillator phase. So signal does not come in I and Q arms. It just is.
Hope this helps

Re: Signal Type

oh,the signal from the DAC is the modulated signal,so the mixer is just the upconverter,it is no the modulater of the mixer,so neither the I signal nor the Q signal
