Hi can anyone tell me in an easy way how this resistance was come by -
2 Pole Synchronous
220 / 240 Volt 25Watt, Resistance = 165 0hm

I have tried to use ohms law to get the Resistance as above but i cannot seem to get it to 165 ohms .. Can someone please show me the right calculations for the above..

Sorry to sound a little dim as i am new to ohms law and cannot seem to work out the above just using voltage and wattage to get the resistance to 165 ohms.

Thanks

You are using ohms law but it sounds like you have an inductive load (a motor). So ohms law does not determine the power dissipation.

Hi could you explain a little ..It is a washing machine pump that i was trying to understand how the manual gets to the above figures .
