I have to modify part of Verilog code for DC motor driving which is used for an
Iris position control.

The factory suggested PWM can’t be used.

In my idea, I am going to use PID algorithm to generate the control pulse.

The situation is as followings:

The DC motor control voltage is fixed at 5V, H bridge is used and the position data can be updated every 428 us.

Do you have any suggestions about how to drive this motor?

Such as should I put coast time after each pulse or how should I take care about braking?

Thanks.

Please help.
