linear applications of cmos

Hi all,

What will happen if we connect the output of the cmos inverter to the input?

appreciate any comments

The output will keep varying from one voltage level to another voltage level when you measure it or simulate it.

Hope this help

Connecting output of a CMOS inverter to input will cause the output voltage to go to ≈ Vdd/2, with both NMOS and PMOS transistors open, and the inverter will look more like A-class amplifier ..
See examples of linear applications of CMOS inverters:

Hi IanP, Thanks for your information. I have one question would like to consult you.

It seems we can use a inverter to be a amplifier, in my mind, the entire circuit will be easily disturbed by NOISE in real application. So, what can we do to eliminate the inference of noise, or noise itself is not a problem?

Thanks
Scottie
