Hi all,
I have a problem with the assura QRC extraction. Well the problem is that when I run the QRC it is OK, the output.sp file is created as well. But it doesnot include any parasitic. Does anyone know the solution.
I appreciate your help!!

What do you mean with
...But it doesnot include any parasitic.
?When QRC (i suspect you use Assura tool for extraction, right?) finishes and you are back-annotating the parasitics on your schematic what do you see?
Also provide your QRC tabs' setup, maybe there is something wrong.

Dear jimito
Yes I use Assura QRC for extraction. I use one transistor in my setup I just see the information for the transistor in the output sp file.
I have attached my QRC setup and the ouput sp file as well.

BTW for the QRC to work I coppied all the setup files including the QRCTechfile, RCXsetup and... to my cadence working directory.

Sorry,i am not familiar with such a QRC setup...with the settings i see mainly in the first tab i doubt if you can perform an extraction in this way.My best recommendation is to review the cadence QRC manual (located in your Assura installation directory) along with your technology training guide/manuals for a proper extraction procedure.

No,this is not correct as far as i know and it is not necessary!

Well, I have just followed all the technology and assura directions for the RCX setup. Seems everything is OK. I have even gone through all the log files. (QRC.log and the rcx.sh) and no error was contained:(.
Do you think if can I run the rcx.sh directly to run it and see the problem instead of using the gui?

Well, I have just followed all the technology and assura directions for the RCX setup.

And these instructions prompt you to use the settings that appear at the first SETUP tab of the Assura QRC GUI??I mean,do they recommend you to select a spectre output for the extraction procedure as you illustrate in the first image you uploaded?Additionally there you indicate a setup dir /home2/13 ,i suspect that this is wrong it doesn't seem correct,if i remember well there you set the QRC installation path or something like that.

Do you think if can I run the rcx.sh directly to run it and see the problem instead of using the gui?

Probably yes but i can't help you with this, maybe someone aware of this procedure can contribute an answer.

Yes you are right. But I don't think the output file type have anything with the problem and the setup directory is the place I have copied all the QRC setup files. including RCXspiceINIT P2LVSfile cap_coeff and...

Ok,maybe...but what is the purpose of the spectre selection there??

I suggest that you don't copy/move original technology files & directories unless you know very well what are you doing and you are absolutely sure that you will not make your life more difficult by creating problems by yourself! ;-)
So,try to use the default original PDK paths.

Let me know something...what exactly are you trying to do?Do you want to create an analog extracted view of your design and then post-simulate it?
Or you are trying to extract your design and then view the parasitics in text view?

Dear Jimito13,

I have tried all the output files type. non works:(
It is done so quickly with the extraction that I know the real parasitic extraction is not carried out!!.

I changed the directory path to the original as well as you told but no progress.

However, by comparing the rcx.sh generated from my pdk with the rcx.sh from the other technologies, I got to know that the rex command is missing in it.
I.E. It has the pax, sip but not rex!!
Maybe the script generator that combine user run options with the capgen initialization script does not work properly. This is why I am trying to execute the file directly but have not succeeded yet.

yyyyy.... I am stuck here for 2 week:(

Maybe you have a wrong PDK setup and things are missing...Try to come in contact with your CAD manager along with your technology provider to find a fix for this.

Yes I think I should do this finally. Appreciate your helps:)
