Hello, I am currently working on designing a motor control system for an electric go kart. The motor selected for this project is a 60 V brushed DC motor, which boasts an efficiency rating of 80% and is capable of delivering 1000 Watts of output power. However, we require a minimum output of 1200 Watts. I would appreciate any recommendations for a suitable PWM generator compatible with Arduino that could effectively address this requirement.

1200W 60V, you're drawing 20A. Can be done through five 12V batteries in series. Probably motorcycle type batteries? (Because five car batteries gets expensive, and strains a go-kart's structure.)

Or do you plan to have fewer batteries, and does PWM mean you hope to boost supply voltage? As well as modify speed via duty cycle?

Hi,

almost every nowadays microcontroller is able to generate PWM.
