Hi,

Im designing a DC to DC converter using a push pull topology, I know I need a centre tapped ferrite core transformer connected to two power mosfets to get a higher output voltage! the problem is I cant find such a transformer on the market! is it ok if I use a flyback transformer instead?

PS. I took out a EC28 Transformer form an older power inverter, but doesnt seem to work, does anyone know how much current it needs to be supplied and the peak-peak voltage of the PWM?

Thanks

Hi electro 13 !

Take a look into this thread exactly ( all of it's pages ) , then you'll earn many things about transformers and inductor which can help you as well :
