Hi all. I am looking for a circuit of a square wave oscillator to be fed to a parallel port, for simulation and control. I need a variable level, width, frequency etc and all possible controls for the pulse. Most 555 circuits I found, have limited controls. Thanks

Please define your parameters more fully. There are too many answers otherwise.

Voltage level range (min:max)
Frequency
Pulse Width
Single or multiple outputs, pattern generator???

The immediate answer that occurs to me is to program a small PIC to do it; that would give great flexibility. It is not as simple as a handful of multivibrators and logic gates unless you are already familiar with PIC programming though, and have the tools.
